What is #GDPR - The Genera l Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union.
When the GDPR takes effect, it will replace the 1995 Data Protection Directive (Directive 95/46/EC). It was adopted on 27 April 2016 and comes into effect on 25 May 2018.
Oundle Candles will only collect basic personal data about you. This does however include name and email address for the purpose of sending you an invoice and sending proofs of your work in progress and completed work.
Why I Need Your Data - I need to know some of your basic personal data to be able to process your order. I do not collect data I do not need for your order.
What I Do With Your Data Once your order is placed - I will use your name and address details to write out the postage label for your item. I will use your email address to send you any updates regarding your order in progress. I do not use your information for any purpose other than sending your invoice and discussing your order with you (eg. delivery information and updates).
In addition I use Mailchimp and Kit to send out occasional marketing emails - only if you have opted into these.
How Long I Keep Your Data - I need to keep copies of your order for a minimum of 6 years for my tax records. Your information will never be sold or given to any third parties. Messages and emails discussing your order will be kept for a maximum of 6 months, this is to ensure I have all the information about your order if there is a problem after the work is completed. After this time all messages will be deleted.
